Garden 1

This was a long narrow, overgrown, unused rear garden, with no focal point and little in the way of plants.

There was a deceptive slope from one side to the other and the soil was of poor quality.

We chose a design of interlocking circles to link the whole garden and make it appear wider. We levelled the lawn and patio areas and created interest with a series of curved raised beds.

The use of Indian stone added colour and texture to the large paved areas, which also allows year-long access to the garden. The new lawn and planting borders are easily maintained. The arbour seat provides a focal point and a space in which to enjoy the whole garden.

Garden 2

The owners of this garden wanted to a fence keep the dog off most of the garden. They wanted a lawn & a new decked area building on a wasteland at the top of the garden. They also needed a way of getting to the top level but didn't want steep steps. We built steps that led gradually up to the decked area. A new lawn completed the clients requirements.
