| This was a long
narrow, overgrown, unused rear garden, with no focal
point and little in the way of plants.
There was a deceptive slope from
one side to the other and the soil was of poor
quality.
We chose a design of interlocking
circles to link the whole garden and make it appear
wider. We levelled the lawn and patio areas and
created interest with a series of curved raised
beds.
The use of Indian stone added
colour and texture to the large paved areas, which
also allows year-long access to the garden. The new
lawn and planting borders are easily maintained. The
arbour seat provides a focal point and a space in
which to enjoy the whole garden.
