Garden 5

This garden was inaccessible as a large drop of over two metres divided the garden in half.

An extension had recently been added to the house and the garden had become a dumping ground.

The challenge here was to find a way of overcoming the slope and reclaiming the garden as a welcoming space.

The garden needed to look good when viewed from several different levels.

We used a series of shallow steps, rather than one steep set, to provide access to the garden. The winding path leads to several different seating areas and viewpoints.

The garden is now a useable space that compliments the house and its surroundings.

Before and After

Garden 6

"This was an inaccessible, steeply sloped site which the owner couldn't use. We increased the patio area by levelling out the lower part of the garden. We then built raised beds & walls to make the garden easier to maintain & also add interest to the upper part of the garden"
